Democratic Custodial Services – PODSAVE AMERICA

  • Maybe, Jon, you should have had him go over the script.

It seems clear now that one of the primary purposes of the podcast by Democrat operatives, Pod Save America, is for image cleanup. Recall that months ago they brought on Graham Platner to do his best to repair all of the damage from his Nazi tattoo. And his controversial social media. AND his appearance on a white supremacist podcast.

Well, Jon Favreau and his boys are at it again, this time attempting to recast the controversial figure Hasan Piker. For reasons that defy common sense, the avowed communist has become endeared by many Democrats, and only recently have a few in the party realized that his positions on things like terrorism (he’s “pro,” for the record) and saying the U.S. deserved the 9/11 attacks can be problematic for the party.

So, Favreau brought on the man, and in an effort to scrub away the controversies, he set the issues on a placekicker’s tee so Piker could blast them out of the stadium and be done with the problems. Instead, Piker basically autographed the ball, took a selfie with it, and then spiked it in celebratory fashion.

FAVREAU: "When you say Hamas is a thousand times better, do you actually mean that? Or is it that a rhetorical move? Or a solidarity signal…?"

Piker: “It’s all of the above. I DO mean it.”

Anti-Social Media – VARIOUS OUTLETS

  • The Left is just so DAMNED good at picking the wrong heroes.

In the same vein as the Piker adoration, for a few months now, we saw the press getting snuggly with a rambunctious and corpulent protester in Minneapolis. Chris Ostroushko has been a regular figure on the streets, going by the social media moniker “Minnesota Angry Man.” The press has been more than happy to platform this activist. From local news outlets to Jen Psaki and The Bulwark, he has been touted as a valid voice to listen to.

Then, this past weekend, he was caught on film blindsiding a young female reporter about half his size. These are their heroes…

Border-line Obsessions – WASHINGTON POST

  • The sadness conveyed by the loss of illegal activity is evident.

At WaPo, they have picked up on a result of the toughened immigration enforcement, and the aspect seen as a negative is rather curious.

The outlet has noticed in the D.C. area, there has been a sharp drop-off in enrollment requests for pre-K schools. This is most prevalent in the bilingual/immigrant communities.

Even as the paper mentions there has been a lottery system in play for many of the admissions, it presents this as a negative, even as it means that the legal citizens now have a better opportunity to have their kids enrolled in spots that might have been taken by illegal residents.

Pulitzer Prize Nomination – VANITY FAIR

  • Whoring for this couple that few have an interest in makes so little sense.

While it seems fitting for this glam-focused magazine to be obsessed with such a shallow and merit-free couple, it is amusing that in its attempt to bolster the image of Prince Hank and his wife, Vanity Fair also provides evidence of how little influence they possess. Still, the magazine forges on, foisting its images and activities on the readership.

In this latest example, the non-royal obsessive Erin Vanderhoof felt the need to provide “A Complete List of Meghan and Harry’s Creative Projects.” What is lost on the writer: There are so many “projects” because they continue to flame out, and so new attempts are made. Funnier still, Erin included a lengthy number of those projects that never came to fruition, all of which should spell out to anyone that there is not a natural demand for their content.

And yet, there goes Vanity Fair and Vanderhoof, still insisting on providing content on these vapid characters.

First Amendment Strike Force – ABC 7, LOS ANGELES

  • How did you correct a statement you say you were not provided?!

The DHS folks have exposed another media outlet morphing the details of an immigration arrest at a courthouse just outside of Los Angeles. ABC 7 News, in its report, claimed the department did not respond to them in a timely fashion for broadcast.

But after DHS called out the station, it not only stated it had, in fact, provided a lengthy statement, but when the station included that text in its digital reporting, there were numerous alterations. Apparently, the station uses AI to ensure that text is compliant with its narrative standards.

But in doing so, it’s altering the comments made by the department; in other words, it’s misquoting an official statement. Much of the original statement was eventually changed back in the article.
