It is clear that the primary issue for the Democrats this election is abortion, and what is more clear is they do not have the issue on their side. This is shown by the lengthy lies that are being spewed about abortion, such as Trump wanting to impose a national ban on the procedure. In a new example, ProPublica has come up with a story of a woman who died of complications as a result of the restrictive abortion legislation in Georgia.
The truth is this woman took the abortion pill and her body did not respond properly, leading to severe infection, all the result of her deciding to forgo available and legal health services.

Some denialism is more equal than others.
As we approach the election, it is becoming nearly hysterical how often we see the press lapsing into the very conspiratorial thought and speech they have long decried. Questioning election results and criticizing the process of our electoral systems is said to be a threat to our democracy, etc. – unless they do it.
We showed yesterday how PBS was fearful how the U.S. Postal Service could affect the election, and now, on CNN – where it had been said election denialists are not welcomed – we see Elie Mystal delivering past denialism and future conspiracy talk. He suggests that if the electoral college results are close, the Trump-manipulated Supreme Court will swing the results to Trump, just like SCOTUS had done when Al Gore was the actual winner in 2000.
(Reminder: Al Gore did not win a single recount in Florida in 2000.)

While it has been notable that Kamala Harris has made a huge turnabout on positions she held in the recent past, it has not been something the press has been especially concerned over. In fact, we are more likely to see excuses made or applause granted for her cagey decision to avoid the press.
Hayes Brown writes about her appeal to the political center and essentially states that, "Well of course she's lying, that is how she can win":
President Joe Biden ran as the most moderate candidate that year, a position that the former vice president argued made him the most likely to beat the incumbent Trump. Once he’d become the presumptive nominee, however, Biden did something unusual: He moved to the left. Should she win, however, the question becomes how she chooses to use whatever mandate she has. It will be all the better for the country if she finally finds a way to govern that still hits the ear like a sonnet.

In this great segment, a CNN journalist is covering a pro-Trump boat parade and she is challenging a shirtless, beer-swilling Trump voter and displaying all of the partisanship the press pretends they do not harbor. The best is this guy is not having any of her slant, as she challenges him about being concerned with the economy because he is a boat owner, and therefore (we have to guess at her logic), inflation should not be much of a bother for him.
You almost get the sense she was on the verge of saying, "It's not that bad, you should vote for Kamala!"

He delivers a tortured explanation that can be summed up as, "Violent speech is bad and needs to be criticized, as long as it is coming from Trump."
