Get the word out, we need to stop this monster!
After Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez let it slip that the Democrats were thrilled that Donald Trump was essentially shackled in New York with his court case and could not campaign, he turned the tables on them and held a campaign rally in New York. That he was going to draw a crowd chilled the party, so they attempted to cobble together a counter protest. It was, shall we say, underwhelming.

More than this, one news anchor in the city said on the air that the Democrats had been working on the local journalists to start lobbying on the party’s behalf to get a turnout for their “rally.” To clarify; the Dems were not asking for equal coverage, they wanted the journalists to actively campaign for people to come out to counter-protest Trump’s rally.

Today, counter-protests in the Bronx are being planned by the dEmOcRaTs. Pay attention to the exchange between @rosannascotto and co-anchor Curt Menefee; she is one of the few journalists who says it how it is.

Legalized Press-titution – CBS NEWS
CBS has come out with a poll where it asked people their opinion on Donald Trump in reference to his trials. Mostly the headline grabber is that “Most Americans think Donald Trump is definitely or probably guilty of a crime,” which we see was an intended result. When peering over the internals, there is a woefully small sample (barely over 1,400 were polled), and of those polled, we see that well over half admitted to only hearing or reading about “some” of the trial, or little to nothing at all.

Man, there sure is a lot of reaction out there over this flag – in the press.
The ginned up outrage over Justice Samuel Alito flying the “Appeal To Heaven” flag at his beach home continues. The amusement is that the people primarily outraged over this flag are the members of the press. They have gone from initial reports, to then reporting it widely, and now the third wave is taking place – all of the press coverage is about all of the outrage…which is literally just the prior press coverage.
Calls are growing for Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito to recuse himself from cases that involve the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, Donald Trump and election integrity after photos surfaced of flags linked to the insurrection being flown at two homes owned by Alito. pic.twitter.com/aUIxcu4vJs

The Associated Press is getting in on the act, attempting to explain that somehow the flag that few people even knew about a week ago has now become declared a January 6 call to arms. Somehow, that was not the case last week — nor last summer, when Alito actually had the flag on display. But NOW, we learn the flag has “evolved” to become a symbol of the far-right, despite only a select few on the far-right really using the flag.
What is taking place here is the AP attempting to cover up that it only just now realized it was a 250-year-old George Washington banner inspiring the constitutional developments of the republic. The “evolution” is the press attempting to reclassify the historical significance.

Not reporting on this fiasco is just as bad as propaganda.
Joe Biden was entertaining the president of Kenya at the White House, and at the joint presser, things unraveled as we have come to expect from this president. He stumbled through the presser, and in a precious moment, one Kenyan reporter asked a lengthy question, to which Biden simply answered, “Yes,” and there was silence as everyone waited for his non-arriving elaboration.
Then after asking another reporter to repeat her long question, we see he did so as he was looking for the pre-approved question in his notes — along with the pre-written answer. He delivers a multi-paragraph response without ever looking up from the podium.
This was such a lame display it makes one wonder how much the presidential debate is going to be rigged for him to survive.
NEW: Biden's press conference with Kenyan President Ruto turns into a clown show after Biden mumbles, calls Kamala Harris the president, and gets startled by reporters.

Reporting on the Mirror – WASHINGTON POST / NPR
You say their lack of a correction after years is a good sign?!
WaPo’s media guy Eric Wemple got wind of an internal National Public Radio news item that the outlet has established a new multi-tiered editorial platform that the content will need to be submitted through before broadcasting or going to print. This is in response to the months of ridicule and shame the outlet has felt after the Uri Berliner exposé about the slanted coverage at the network.
Calling this move “Epic cowardice,” Wemple states this was all done as a form of appeasement to Republicans, who have been especially critical of NPR of late. He then makes a curious conclusion: There was no real need to do this, because ostensibly NPR had done nothing to warrant criticism:
NPR’s decision to lard its upper ranks would be an appropriate response to another set of circumstances — say, if the broadcaster had just published a massive investigative piece that turned out to be a fabrication. Yet there have been no such breakdowns. The last NPR retraction came in 2018.
If I may, Erik, this is not a good thing, and, in fact, it underscores Berliner’s complaints. This means that NPR has never retracted the errors we know were committed regarding Russian Collusion, many pandemic claims, the shutting down of what it called conspiratorial stories, and, of course, the infamous refusal to say the Hunter Biden laptop was a legitimate news story.

There’s a copy-editing staff of just two, per sources. One staffer says 75% of his web pieces never see a copy editor. An unspoken rule is only pieces trending on Chartbeat get a (retroactive) look over...
