Tucker and friends can't get Israel and the Jews out of their minds.

Why did the Empire of Japan need Tokyo Rose? She spoke in English and broadcast to the Allied soldiers in order to demoralize them. She would tell how well the Japanese forces were doing and how the Americans and British stood no chance against them. The movie "Run Silent Run Deep" has a supposed broadcast of Rose telling of the demise of a U.S. submarine. The skipper uses the belief of their end to the sub's advantage.

I wrote previously that I considered the lowest of lows to be someone whose whole life is dependent on the life of another. I brought as an example a scholar who writes books about Shakespeare's intentions, influences, and hairstyles. His whole existence is dependent on another human being, unlike, say, Elon Musk, who invents things de novo. With that said, I should not be writing yet another article about Tucker Carlson and his anti-Israel activities. But ignoring a cancer in the body or in the body politic is dangerous, and Carlson's efforts across multiple media are directed at harming both Israel and America. So, my dear readers, please forgive me. I would be remiss if I did not scribble the words below.

There are times when one hears a general compliment for his enemy counterpart. Montgomery had the highest respect for Rommel and would have been a fool to belittle the enormous capabilities of the Desert Fox. Tucker Carlson is obviously a very smart fellow. Anyone who heard his monologues or saw his withering interviews on Fox knew that the guy had a very analytical brain. Many have asked, "What has happened to Tucker?" as his post-Fox version seems to be someone else. He has platformed kooks, losers, and weirdos. He never cross-examines or challenges, unless it is Sen. Ted Cruz sitting opposite him. His recent activities have included his TCN (Tucker Carlson Network) newsletter, his "interview" in Doha of the Qatari prime minister, and appearances on others' podcasts, including comedian Theo Von's. It is good that Von can remember his IQ by counting the number of letters in his name.

As is his wont, Carlson and his hosts accuse Israel and its supporters of every crime imaginable. He and Von claimed that it is Israel (or maybe some corporations…?) that "controls" the U.S. Let's call one of our three remaining time-outs to ask: how would Israel control the U.S.? People have noted that AIPAC's lobbying budget is smaller than that of countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Nobody suggests that Israel has some compromising material on Donald Trump, and therefore, he has to do what the Jewish state demands. A Republican recently put forth a bill to make dual citizenship illegal, with a direct focus on Americans who also have Israeli citizenship (like our kids). But really, how would Israel control the U.S.? It does not write the laws, pass them, and nobody can control Donald Trump. When Half-There Biden was in office, Carlson made no such claim, though such an accusation would have had more weight, however ridiculous and impossible.

The goal of Von, Carlson, and others of their class is to put out lies and let them sink in as truths in the minds of their listeners. Carlson claimed that Israel intentionally bombed two churches in Gaza. In the name of the IDF fighters who did everything possible to wage as clean a war as possible against a bunch of psychopaths, I will not stand by for such a lie and calumny. In a normal world, Carlson would have to bring specific commands, communications, or witnesses to the order from on high to target a church. If a church were hit, there are two simple explanations: it was being used by Hamas, like mosques, hospitals, and schools, which were all used to store weapons and serve as command posts. The other possibility is collateral damage. We have become accustomed to drones putting missiles exactly in the right window on the proper floor. Well, war is never perfect, and even with smart munitions and advanced weaponry, stuff gets blown up. In a real world, Von would have demanded that Carlson bring his proof that a) two churches were hit and b) that the attacks were premeditated. As he is still learning to count with his fingers, he failed to challenge his Israel-hating guest.

Von and Carlson then played "what if." What if Qatar were to give a podcaster oodles of money in order to influence his opinions and productions in the direction of the Gulf terror supporter? Well, it could happen, but no, we'd never do that. It reminded me of O.J.'s "What If I Did It?" in which he explains exactly how the murder of his ex-wife and her boyfriend took place, with the caveat, of course, that he didn't do it.

Carlson claimed Bill Ackman and Bari Weiss were dumb and unimpressive. Sure, Ackman has a worth of $8 billion, and Weiss has made the professional comeback of the century, but they're nothing special. I heard Ackman speak recently in Tel Aviv and spoke with him briefly. During his 90-minute talk, he seemed extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful as he addressed issues ranging from American politics to the status of ultra-orthodox in the IDF. I decided to look at the Forbes 400 to see who is hanging around Bill Ackman, whose wealth they peg at $9.1 billion. So, at the same level is Marc Benioff. The CEO of Salesforce supported President Trump sending National Guard troops to San Francisco; when liberal blowback grew, he retracted his comments. That sounds really smart. If we go up to $9.3 billion, we get to Les Wexner, who signed over his fortune to Jeffrey Epstein for his management. Ackman would seem to be a high rise among some of his immediate Forbes neighbors.

One of those on the list, at $8.8 billion, is David Geffen, who is finalizing his divorce from his husband. I thought that Carlson was into the "conservative values" of Qatar, Sharia, and Maduro. So why didn't he mention this billionaire? He did mention Weiss, who is married to a woman. But as with Ackman, she was chosen because she is Jewish. Weiss famously resigned from The New York Times and exposed the rampant antisemitism in the newsroom. She set up the Free Press, which CBS recently bought for around $200 million, also making her head of its news division and an anchor. Her story is inspiring, and there was a time when Carlson liked independent-thinking journalists like Weiss and Matt Taibbi. But if you fall astray of the Carlsonometer for Israel, then you are dumb and unimpressive.

If Carlson were a serious person, he would take up Ben Shapiro on his offer to publicly debate. It might be the most-watched event in internet history. The problem for Carlson, Von, and their buddies is that truth is not on their side. Shapiro would eviscerate his former friend with the facts about Israel, Jews, Qatar, Sharia, and Carlson's guests like the Tate brothers. Carlson likes to keep to friendly venues and does not have the courage to face an oppositional voice. The second thing he would do if he were a man would be to come to Israel. He could interview people who went through the hell of October 7, former hostages, and IDF soldiers. Then, he could go over to Gaza and interview anyone Hamas would let him meet. But again, he does not want to give a platform to someone whose family was tortured and murdered before her eyes. He does not want to hear from a soldier who lost comrades so as not to harm Palestinian citizens. Carlson is a fraud. A very rich fraud, one trying to demoralize the American public.
