Donald Trump has put fear into people far and wide. Good.

We live in an age of very strange headlines. Below is just a sampling.

*Donald Trump wants to buy Greenland. His son was dispatched there this week.

*Donald Trump wants to make Canada a part of the United States.

*Amazon just bought Melania Trump’s life story for $40 million.

*Mark Zuckerberg switched out British lefty Nick Clegg for a conservative replacement. He added UFC’s Dana White to his board and jettisoned his one-sided fact-checkers.

*Lionel Messi did not bother to show up to receive his presidential medal from Joe Biden.

*Justin Trudeau announced his resignation.

*NATO members talk of increasing their defense spending.

*Tim Cook and other billionaires give $1 million each to Trump’s inaugural festivities.

Has the world turned upside down? In a way, yes. Donald Trump won and most importantly, as Mark Steyn put it, he won before 11 pm of Election Day—after which all of the shenanigans begin. He won both the Electoral College and the popular vote. His victory was so convincing that the Democrats did not even try to prevent the formal certification of his win this week. Still, there is far more going on here.

Good business people understand their customers and their markets. Apple may not be the first to add some feature to one of its products, but it understands what its customers want. There is the famous story of Steve Jobs haranguing his underlings when he pulled out a first generation iPhone and scratched its plastic screen with a fingernail. “I will not sell a phone whose screen can be scratched!” A vice-president went from the meeting straight to China; there, they woke up the workers and had them replace one million plastic screens with new Gorilla Glass from Corning. The over 2 billion iPhones sold since those events are proof of how well Jobs and his company knew their customers.

Donald Trump’s win means the end of the Obama era and all of its ideological baggage. It was only a few months ago when Apple, during its iPhone 16 roll out, had a fake cast of actors playing board members. They had more people represented in that ad than there are countries in the UN. As people pointed out after the presentation, Apple’s real board is lily white and if their boardroom is painted white, you would not be able to see them. Everybody played the Obama era green, DEI, victim, microaggression, white guilt, censorship, trans and historical revisionism games. Facebook and Twitter were only too happy to work with the FBI to isolate and destroy postings that did not fit in with Right Think. Harvard and other institutions advanced incompetents as long as they had the right pedigree of victimization. Everyone played the game because there was money and power to be had. How much dough did the authors of books like White Fragility or the purveyors of “sensitivity training” seminars make? Even a Jew hater knows that if he wants to open a restaurant in Jerusalem, it had better be kosher.

So with Trump’s resounding win and the clear movement of women and all minorities in his direction, our betters realize that the game is up. Whereas companies like Amazon donated to Trump’s upcoming festivity, Tim Cook paid out of his own pocket. My boys concluded that Apple refused to give money to the orange man bad, but Cook understood that there is a new sheriff in town and one had better get on his good side. There are many laws and presidential decrees that can affect Apple’s businesses, from tax rates to preferential U.S. manufacturing and future laws on AI: Tim Cook is no dummy, and if the board does not want to play nice, then he will. Zuckerberg putting Dana White on his board and getting rid of “fact checkers”, a misnomer if there ever was one, was not done out of the goodness of his heart. Zuckerberg sees the incredible power that Elon Musk is yielding via X and his demand that all voices be heard on his platform. Just as there was money to be made under the Obama crew by toeing the official line, there is still gold out there under Trump, if you know how to play by the new/old rules.

Does Donald Trump really plan to buy Greenland or turn Canada into the 51st state? Of course not, but Donald Trump is first and foremost a good businessman. The U.S. has interests in Greenland, whether it be uranium or important minerals or possible military bases. Donald Trump is working to get the best deal he can get. Ditto for Canada. Whether it be via tariffs or negotiations, Donald Trump is trying to even the playing field or, better yet, push it to the benefit of U.S. companies. Donald Trump is putting the world on notice—including Panama—that unlike Obama and Biden who always put the U.S. last, he will be negotiating for the benefits and interests of his country. And he plans to get what he wants at the price he wants.

There is a very famous story that Napoleon actually won the initial battle at Waterloo, but his troops failed to disable the British canons. So when the tide went the other way, the British used their artillery to secure the famed victory. If Donald Trump wants to end the Obama era and all of its destructive and divisive baggage, then there will have to be investigations of key players from those years. This is not revenge; this is historical bookkeeping, so that we should not repeat the same mistakes in the future. Some suggested individuals who need a look via lawyers at the Department of Justice (which itself needs a serious investigation for becoming a political body):

*Tony Fauci for his role in funding Covid research in China as well as his activities in pushing drugs off of the shelf in order to get the experimental mRNA vaccines to market.

*Hillary Clinton for her destruction of over 30,000 emails subject to a congressional subpoena.

*James Comey and his lieutenants for their role in weaponizing the FBI against those who did not buy into the Obama program.

*The Biden family for its self-enrichment during Joe’s days as vice president.

*All military brass involved in the failed exit from Afghanistan and the loss of life and Bagram Airbase.

*White House officials who coordinated with media, including social media, to restrict speech—such as Twitter shutting down any account that tried to propagate the Hunter Biden laptop story.

*Merrick Garland for his role in pushing the political trials against Donald Trump.

*Drug companies in order to compare their internal data and communications with their public statements and claims.

*Anyone mentioned in the Epstein files.

*Doctors who give puberty blockers and/or perform unnecessary “trans” surgeries on minors.

This list is not complete and again, this is not revenge. The U.S. cannot go through another chapter in which personal rights are trampled under ideological rigidity. Let’s close this chapter off so that the U.S. will face a brighter, freer, and more prosperous future.
