The Nazi rapist. The guy married to his cousin. The chick on lithium, institutionalized with bipolar disorder.

How are Democrats picking their nominees these days? With a claw machine? Do they walk up to attendees at Bernie Sanders rallies and make them pinky swear they have no skeletons in their closets?

Here's the current crop of Democratic candidates running for office.

Francesca Hong

Francesca Hong is running for Wisconsin governor, and she's running away with the Democratic nomination, leading her opponents by at least 20 points. The Democrats are not keen on this, but it seems they can't stop her now. Despite this, they'll likely rally around her when she locks up the nomination next Tuesday, even if not enthusiastically. I have, and will continue to, dig into her radical policy positions—positions from which she is trying to distance herself ahead of the general election—because they're crazy. But she's also crazy. Legitimately.

Hong is diagnosed as bipolar, was institutionalized for her mental health issues, which included cutting herself, and ended up overdosing on lithium. The state Democratic Party may not have had access to her medical records, but I assume they have a web browser. Hong admitted to her mental health issues in an interview. This raises serious and legitimate concerns about her ability to lead on a good day, let alone in a time of crisis. We saw her brand of leadership not too long ago. After the officer-involved shooting of Corey Ruiz in Madison, Hong went to the crowds and called it an "execution." We have no proof of that, and now a Madison neighborhood has been besieged by its own autonomous zone, aided and abetted by Madison officials.

James Talarico

James Talarico, who wants to be a U.S. Senator from Texas, is running on a platform that is antithetical to everything the state stands for: he hates oil and gas production, despises meat, wants to mutilate children, and hates Christianity. Earlier, I told you how he agreed that the rightful conviction of Karmelo Anthony, who stabbed Austin Metcalf in the chest at a track meet, was a "f***ing tragedy."

Troy Jackson

After the Democrats ousted Graham Platner in Maine (and not because Platner was a Nazi-tattoo pervert who abused, and allegedly raped, his girlfriends but because he was going to lose), they picked Troy Jackson in a very undemocratic manner. Jackson has his own problems. He's got a history of berating his colleagues, possible mortgage fraud, and conflicts with women, including allegations he threw a water bottle during an argument and it struck a woman.

Oh, and he married his cousin. Yes, she's his second cousin, but imagine if this were a Republican. The late-night shows would have a field day with this.

Scott Weiner

Need I say more? The guy who decriminalized knowingly infecting your sexual partners with AIDS is running for Congress, where he'll take his same twisted policies to the national level.

Darializa Avila Chevalier

She's a Democratic Socialist backed by Zohran Mamdani. She thinks America is a "f***ing disgrace" and wants to abolish prisons, the Senate, the presidency, ICE, and our borders. All of that is part of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) platform, and their endgame is full-blown communism. They don't hide it, and they don't deny it.

Abdul El-Sayed

He's a dishonest Islamist who, despite promising "healthcare for all" has a wife who won't accept Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance at her practice. El-Sayed himself is not a licensed physician, even though he plays on his doctor credentials. Like all Islamist socialists, he hates Israel and the Jews, but has to pretend to respect them because he needs their votes to win. Polling that I've seen shows El-Sayed losing to Mike Rogers, thank goodness.

Excellent work, Democrats. There is a way for them to stop this, of course, and that would be to not provide any material support to these candidates. No donations, no media, no endorsements. But Ro Khanna, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren have all decided to endorse some, or all, of these candidates. ActBlue is funneling money, and in shady fashion, to El-Sayed. It's a futile attempt to appease the socialists who will eventually remove all the establishment Democrats.

But I have to ask the Democrats: did you care at all? Did you do any legwork on this at all? Sure, you can excuse it as a "big tent" approach, but this midterm election cycle has been a revealing look into the Democratic Party, and none of it is good. Is it surprising? No. The Democrats, afflicted with a terminal case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, have been heading towards a cliff for years. I just figured at some point, they'd at least try to tap the brakes. Instead, they're going full-blown Thelma and Louise right off the ledge. The only problem is they're trying to take the entire country with them.
